One of the hottest products for keeping cool (or warm) during 2010 is the portable air conditioner.

If you are renting, or for whatever other reason are not able to install anything on the walls of the house you live in, a portable air conditioner is perfect for you! These convenient units pack a massive punch, and they are especially popular in townhouses and residential units.

Having a portable air conditioner in your home gives you tremendous versatility. You can move it between rooms with ease to cool whichever part of the house you happen to be occupying.

No installation required, very easy to set up!

How do they work?

Portable air conditioners extract the hot air and moisture from within a room, process it through coolant filled coils and then a fan blows the cooled air back into the room. The hot air (exhaust) is expelled through a vent and out of your room’s window.

Your portable air conditioner needs to be situated within approximately within 6 feet of a window, to enable the venting to take place effectively. Best results usually occur when you have sliding vertical or horizontal windows as the vent can be sealed within your window frame in place using the plastic attachment provided.

We stock all portable air conditioner models from the three leading manufactures of split systems.
